Guinness Six Nations Trophy

Europe’s most important international 15-a-side rugby tournament will once again be in the spotlight in 2023. The Italian National Rugby Team will give its all at the Rome Olympic Stadium on three incredible days for the Guinness Six Nations tournament between February and March.
The 2023 edition will be the 24th yearly competition between the international teams of France, Wales, England, Ireland, Italy and Scotland, as well as the 129th ever, including the Home Nations Championship and Five Nations editions.
Kick-off is scheduled for Saturday February 4 with Wales-Ireland clash at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff while England and Scotland will contest the Calcutta Cup at Twickenham shortly afterwards.
The Azzurri will debut on Sunday February 5 at the Olympic Stadium, in the first of three home matches – with the Garibaldi Trophy also up for grabs – against reigning champions France, who will host the tenth edition of the World Cup the same year. The following week, Sunday February 12, the Crowley-led team will make its first trip to Twickenham in England.
On February 25, Ireland will take on the Italian National Team in the third round. The same is scheduled for March 11 on the Wales turn. Championship end on March 18 with the Scotland-Italy match at Murrayfield, which will kick off Super Saturday.

The Guinness Six Nations was established at the end of the 19th century as the Home Nations Championship, a tournament played exclusively by the four teams from the British Isles. From 1910 to 1931 first, and 1947 to 1999 later, France was also invited to participate and the championship changed its name to Five Nations. The current name dates back to 2000, the year of the Italian national team’s debut. As usual, each of the six teams faces each other once in the biggest stadiums of the six capital cities.
